As I look out my windows and see the tractors, combines, semis and other assorted farm machinery in the cornfields and watch them travel back and forth on our gravel road, it saddens me. It is harvest time around here and it’s definitely fall. The trees are turning their beautiful colors of red, orange, yellow and brown and some are falling off the trees. The temperatures are cooler. This is not my favorite time of the year becos well, I just like tropical weather better. All these signs of autumn tell me that winter is just around the corner. I’m not really a pessimist at heart, but I can’t help but feel and smell it! This means that there will be no more outside workouts at home for awhile – I just don’t like being in the cold temperatures. The only good thing I can think of that’s a positive is that when I’m cold, my body has to work harder to keep me warm and I’m burning more calories. I don’t know if this is true, but that’s what I tell myself to keep from complaining.
For those of you who do enjoy autumn, Happy Fall to ya!
