Someone has to get our lawn mowed. I’m an empty nester, so I have the time. This is a vlog on another empty nester workout – mowing! We live in the country and it’s a huge yard that takes up about 8 hours of our time to complete the task. And of course it’s a great cardio workout – altho different from my usual dvd workout – but fits right into my fitness schedule and burns a lot of calories. Bonus!!! I do about an hour or hour and a half a day during the week and my husband does the rest.

And some say mutitasking is overrated. lol
So your saying that I should give up my riding mower and get a push mower instead? Mowing can be a big job and when you do it right, an enjoyable way to get outside and get some exercise. Leaving the biggest part for the hubby seems a little unfair though 😉

If you give yours up, you might burn more calories ;P Hubby doesn’t get the biggest parts, he gets the hardest ones – zig zagging around the bushes and trees (11 trees) and doing the ditches. I’ll do the bushes and trees if he doesn’t, but the ditches are steeper and he doesn’t want me to get hurt….”just in case”. He’s a sweetie 😀
My son is leaving for college soon, I guess that means I will be nominated to mow my lawn!
He can still help you when he comes home 🙂 But practice up cos when he’s gone for good, guess who will have to do it ALL the time??? 😉
