Here is my staycation beach photos – the beaches I combed while on my Maui staycation. This first group is of a couple beaches (where I acquired my sunburn) that was located south of Olowalu. They were pretty sandy and had only a little bit of kiawe thorns under the trees by the roadside.
One day we first tried a couple beaches by Sprecklesville (east of the airport) but got rained out so ended up at
Baldwin Park, a few miles away in Paia. It was still a little cloudy, but the sun was mostly shining and it wasn’t raining!
We discovered Kanaha Beach Park on the other side of the airport and spent 5 hours here one day. After my daughter left to go home, I spent a couple more days there. One of those times I didn’t even get in the water becos there was a 7 foot shark sighting and they made everyone get out of the water!
This is the last beach I visited and played on the day before I left home to come home (to Iowa). Po’olenalena Beach was an ideal place for us to boogie board for about an hour before lunch becos the waves weren’t too big or too small!
Thankx for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures as much as I have enjoyed sharing them 🙂

Thanks for sharing!! Awesome photos! I WILL be doing the same in January!!
Thankx for stopping by Colleen. Take LOTS of pictures! They will come in handy when you’re in the dead of winter back home 😀 Enjoy yourself (I know you will!)
where’s the pipipis, Sis?
You’re a little ahead of me, Mom! I know it was at the beach and you’d think it’d be a ‘beach pic’, but I was thinking it was going into my ‘food post’ (when I get that post done). I might change it up in the future when I have more time to tweak posts. Way to be observant tho lol
You have some beautiful pics. Wanda. Someday I hope to go there.
Keep hoping and claiming it, Deborah…and plan for it. I’m already doing that so I can go back sooner than 5 years!!!
