This could possibly be one of, if not the shortest Thankful Thursday post I’ve done to date. Today is my first day off work in 7 days.
1. The way the timing went, I had to work 6 days in a row between my part-time and full-time jobs. Good thing about the part-time gig is that they aren’t 10 hour days! I work for “A & B Law Firm”. A guy came in and as he walked past my desk, he introduced himself as Harvey “A”. He said his name is on the sign outside and that he’s retired. We had a really nice chat, he thanked me for a job well done and said to keep it up. Totally nice guy!
2. Remember all those blue/purple flowers I get to see on the drive to work? The county maintenance crews must have come by and mow all of it down. BOOOOO! Now it’s just plain ol ugly there.
3. Traveler Tidbit of the week: Paul from MO asked me for several pieces of literature so I fetched them and as I handed and explained them to him, he said real seriously, “You’re good! I don’t care what they said about you at the last rest stop.” Made us both laugh! 😀
On the Fitness and Nutrition Front
So far the Country Heat routines aren’t actually dance routines. They are just line dancing moves – which is a great format. At some point I believe we will probably put the moves together and do some dancing. But for now, just doing the moves over and over makes me sweat – just like when I took lessons. I’m still loving this program!
I made some salsa with some of the fresh vegetables from my sister in law. It was gone within a couple days! #canthelpourselves
