It’s time to post Thankful Thursday again! I hope you’re not feeling as dreary as the weather outside looks.
1. The first week home has been alright. It’s been one of adjustment and trying to get “back to normal”. I went to work for 2 days and have had these last 3 off which is a blessing. One day I slept 10 hours cos I guess I needed it. I almost felt like I was a new employee at work and was sure glad it wasn’t the busy time of the year – that way I could s.l.o.w.l.y. figure out what I was supposed to be doing – other than greeting and helping the travelers – and not mess up too much. lol
2. I was so tickled to leave work after the first day in DAYLIGHT! Granted it wasn’t bright daylight, but it was just before dusk started so I could see clearly while driving. No more leaving work in the dark! #longerdaysareheretostay
3. I didn’t realize I had my annual eye exam scheduled for this week until the doctor’s office called with a reminder. The awesome news is my prescription for both eyes improved and I can’t wait to get my new glasses. She already gave me a contact lens sample to try with the new prescription and I love it! Guess my supplements are working as they should. Let’s hear a whoop whoop!
4. Do you know that I love saving money? We had to take our car into the dealer for brake alerts issues. It was covered by the warranty that’s good for one more week, so guess what? It was FREE! So after that, I went to get groceries and bought this orchid plant that reminds me of my island home 🙂
On the Fitness and Nutrition Front
I have not been working out to dvds or taking walks, etc. We are having to move in the next couple months so I am focusing on decluttering, cleaning and packing things into boxes for the move. I’m talking 27+ years in this house so you can only imagine the stuff we have accumulated. So that will be most of my ‘workouts’ for the next couple months. I will walk in the back room at work and take time to exercise at home when I can. But at this point I am not going to promise to be consistent or worry about it. This may not be the best plan, but in order for me not to feel overwhelmed or like I don’t have time, it’s the best for now. And…it “is subject to change” as they say at work, before this is all over lol
Good news…I lost one of the 4 pounds gained on my trip. It actually felt weird to be eating “regular” food and not all the Asian/Hawaiian dishes.

Are you moving far from where you are now?
About 9 miles away. Not too bad, but we still have a lot of our stuff we gotta clean out! 🙁
