I have a few things to write about this Thankful Thursday that truly make me appreciate the opportunities that allow me to see the positiveness around me.
1. One of my best friends is getting married in the summer and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. I haven’t been one since I was 15 when I was a bridesmaid twice that year for two different cousins. I was delighted and honored to say yes to her. You know what that means? Time to get really serious about my fitness!
2. The temperatures hit over 40 degrees fahrenheit twice this past week, melting the majority of our snow. Yay! I am on the lookout for spring 🙂
3. I left work on the 7th day in a row of working earlier this week, and before I even got a mile down the road was coasting on fumes off an exit. Yes, I ran out of gas! That is an awful feeling, not to mention scary as the traffic buzzes by you at 70+ mph in the dark and your car just dies! I praised the Lord that my husband was at home to come to my rescue. I felt so silly, but the gas gauge on this car is broken and I was not watching my cues to fill the tank. I learned my lesson and I swear this will not happen again.
4. I began a 3 day Shakeology Cleanse (today is the last day) and feel better about jump starting the loss of the 4 pounds I gained over the holidays. I also worked out 3 days in a row after not working out for 7. I sure have missed it! I haven’t quite gotten to the point of working out before work. Working 10 hours a day does not leave me any desire to come home and work out after work. But like I said, I need to get serious!
5. I gave my husband a break from cooking our dinners and made supper for us a couple nites. It felt so good to be working in my kitchen again haha
Have a great rest of the work week, ya’ll 🙂
