It’s still Indian Summer this first Thankful Thursday post in November! I truly wish it could stay like this all year round. 60s or higher during the days and 40s or higher at nites…is that too much to ask? I think not.
1. I worked my part-time job today. It only took a couple hours which I was happy about. I didn’t get there when I wanted to becos I waited for the fog to lift – which it didn’t 🙁 After that I visited with my daughter who lives in the town where I worked. She was feeling a bit under the weather but we had a good visit anyway. I can only hope she felt better just having her mommy there when she was feeling a little tough. No matter how old they get to be, my babies will always be my babies 🙂
2. This past week I’ve been reorganizing and reprioritizing my daily tasks 🙂 I’ve enjoyed and embraced the challenge and feel good about it. I believe everything happens for a reason…even when we do not know the reason.
3. Traveler Tidbit of the week: Don and Pat C. from OR came in and asked for the Antiques brochures section. As I pointed in the direction of the display rack and headed there, he said “I wanna see if I’m in there.” Gotta luv the humor of the people that come in! 🙂
On the Fitness and Nutrition Front
So I’m back into the groove – or should I say the ‘line’ of Country Heat line dancing workouts – and still loving it!
Here’s an interesting salad/side dish I found on a health website – roasted broccoli, garbanzo beans and goat (I used crumbled since I didn’t have goat) cheese. It was seasoned with just salt and pepper. It might have been becos I used a different cheese, but I added a little asian salad dressing to my portion cos it tasted a little bland to me. Overall it was pretty good and maybe next time I need to use goat cheese. If I remember correctly, goat cheese has a stronger taste than crumbled cheese.
