This will be a very quick Thankful Thursday post as I’ve worked 4 days straight in a row and I’m tired.  I had a full weekend before that and still need to catch up on sleep 🙁

1.  The Bachelorette party we’ve been planning for weeks came to fruition Saturday nite after I worked a 10 hour day.  I drank some Energy and Endurance to help me stay awake.  About 16 of us gathered for a hibachi grill dinner at a Japanese restaurant.  Asian food is the bride’s (and mine!) favorite food 🙂  Then we walked around downtown to a couple bars to finish the celebration.  Most of the guests were from the city but 2 of our group was from out of town and 3 live 2 1/2 hours away so we stayed overnite in a hotel.  I think light’s out was at 2:47 a.m.

2.  The next morning, we got up bright and early and headed back downtown for the Bridal Shower brunch at another restaurant where about 20 of us played games, ate some great food, enjoyed the delicious wedding gown cupcakes (that looked somewhat like this), and watched the bride open her gifts.  It was fun – we had a ‘honeymoon’ themed shower and before she opened quite a few of the gifts, she’d ask, “Am I gonna be embarrased?”  lol

3.  I work at a Welcome Center and a traveler came in earlier this week.  After helping her with her questions and chatting with her, she told me I was ‘striking’.  I’ve never been told that before and that just made my day! 🙂

Thankful Thursday

4.  It was 68 degrees yesterday and it felt so good!  I wore a skirt to work to celebrate haha Tomorrow will be the fifth day in a row that I work this week.  It will be nice to get into my normal work routine next week which means three 10 hour days and not working my part-time job in between.

5.  Today after work I stopped at a store to check out some silver shoes and silver bracelets that would match my bridesmaid dress and the pair of earrings that the bride-to-be gave us.  I liked some things I saw, but I didn’t buy anything yet.  This was just a pre ‘serious’ shopping stop. 😀

Have a great week peeps!  Enjoy your spring.
