I am filled with gratitude this Thankful Thursday. It was an almost perfect day – I say almost becos it was 80 degrees and a wee bit on the hot side (on a September day!). Mid to high 70s is perfect to me 🙂 But take a look at the beautiful colors of a gorgeous sunset. One can’t help but feel the blessings!
1. I am grateful to be done with my part-time job for the month and the crazy schedule of the first week and a half of the month. Now maybe I can catch up to tasks that got put by the wayside.
2. I made it to Mass over the weekend. Yay! That also means I got to go out for Sunday breakfast with some family.
3. Ok, now for the continuing saga of that ginormous garden spider. It came back and then disappeared again. #twopointsforthemaillady But now I see a smaller one has made a web near the mailbox – but lower to the ground. Grrrrr
4. Traveler Tidbit of the week: Christopher W. from British Columbia came in to the Center, signed my guestbook, asked for a map, then left after replying that he didn’t need any help with other literature. About 10 minutes later he came back and said, “I just had to come back in to tell you that the warmth of your smile will stay with me for hours.” I wonder if he knows how much that warmed my heart?
On the Fitness and Nutrition Front
I’m still loving Country Heat. I’m getting better at the more difficult moves – there really aren’t very many on the 5 different workouts I’ve done. They’re actually quite simple moves – by themselves. It’s when you put the moves together that things get a little crazy sometimes. But that burns the calories for sure!
I’ve been reading books on decluttering and I’m now on a chapter in one of the books on cleansing your body. I get to work this coming weekend, so I’ve decided to do a 3-day liquid fast. It’ll be easier to keep busy at work and not be thinking about food. And I don’t usually do a formal workout on the days I work 10 hours. So I won’t get ‘weak’. We’ll see what happens.
